This Abstract Painting was inspired by the local landscapes of my beloved Pacific Northwest.
At the heart of my work is to explore those feelings of peace and the divine I feel when in nature and creating art. In this piece I explore those feelings in further. This painting is inspired by the Buntzen Lake mountains just outside of Vancouver. It’s a gorgeous lake that my family and I fell in love with and venture to every summer. It’s one of those beautiful Pacific Northwest lakes that looks just as gorgeous when it’s raining as it does when it’s sunny.
When painting this piece I used that layered marbling effect that brings me so much joy. This contrasted with white of the mist the PNW is known for gives the painting a serene feel.
So with this original, abstract painting, It is my highest hope that you can bring some of that beauty and peace into your home.
You deserve to have something that soothes your soul too!
